I sometimes ruin perfectly good pots of ink.
I wrote On Remaining Sane in Insane Systems, which is a retelling of my experiences in the Victorian psychiatric system as well as a commentary on mental health in general. I was running slightly hot when I wrote it, which made it engaging and fun to read (and write), but does treat some large topics more lightly and with more confidence than it should have.
I am currently writing about:
- Interpersonal ethics (here)
- Recipes (here)
- Power structures in personal relationships
- Coercion in psychiatry
- The housing market in Australia
- Detaching ourselves from politically centralised tech systems
- Male survivors of SA/DV
- Character assassination
- Caring for vulnerable people that matter to you
- Modern tribalism
- The creative process
- Biohacking
- Various other topics
